Rubble, 4 years old, neutered male, Staffordshire Terrier mix, 52 lbs. He is in a foster home in Houston, Texas and can transport to an approved adopter.
He is a an energetic boy who loves his people! He is dog friendly and has met lots of other dogs. He is excited when first seeing another dog- he does a happy tail wagging dance. He goes on walks with his foster dad's friend's and does wonderful on their adventures. We think he do great with another dog or would be okay without a four legged friend.
He seems curious about cats in the neighborhood, but have no history with cats inside the home. We have no history with kids. Due to his wiggly body, we recommend a home with kids 12 years and older.
Rubble walks well on leash. When he sees another dog he will pull because he wants to say hi. He is easy to redirect. For the most part he walks a little in front with little pulling. He is housebroken. He enjoys being his crate with the door open. He is not a big fan of the door being shut.
He is food motivated. He loves to chew on toys and bones. We would describe him as moderate energy. His current foster takes him on a walk daily and he really enjoys the exercise. We think he would love another dog to engage him mentally and physically. He would also be fine as the only dog with regular exercise.
He is very smart and eager to please. He likes to be close to his human when you are home. We think he would do best with someone who was home more than they were away. He has been left out in the house unsupervised and will find things on the counters if left out. His foster dad thinks this could be due to boredom. He is very friendly and loves to cuddle.
