Ruby is still waiting patiently for her forever home! Ruby is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian mix and weighs about 75 lbs. Ruby absolutely loves other dogs and will sometimes want to play all day long! When her foster siblings need a break, the foster provides Ruby with mental enrichment using lick mats and stuffed kongs. Ruby would thrive in a home where she can be outside all day in a secure fenced area then come in at night to sleep on a dog bed or the couch, possibly a hobby farm where the livestock go in at night. She is currently "employed" watching her foster's pig and does a great job keeping all the threats away with her big bark-her foster says she seems so proud and content when she's done a good job for the day. She's learning to hang out with the goats and does well with dog savvy cats. Her dream owner would be home a good part of the day who also enjoys her kind and cuddly demeanor and Ruby kisses in the morning. Ruby is extremely sweet and sensitive and will bond well with someone who will use positive reinforcement as she is very treat motivated. She is still working on building her confidence and reducing some anxiety, sometimes typical of younger displaced dogs. She is smart, learns well and she can sit, stay, lay and shake. She has a great interest in squirrels and would not be safe with chickens. Are you Ruby's new family? Ruby is currently being fostered.

All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.
