Meet Ruckus
Ruckus is an adorable neutered male young brown and white tabby Domestic Shorthair cat.

He is currently in foster care, and is available for adoption now!

Ruckus has a silly personality, but above all else, is extremely loving once he is comfortable. His foster says this: "Ruckus is hilarious! This fella is very active and silly and super loving! He has been fun to have at our house and watch grow to trust us. This guy apparently did not have an easy life before being rescued. He started out swatting at me often because he was scared and overwhelmed. It was obvious from the beginning that he wanted love so desperately, but didn’t entirely trust and know how to receive it. He would get so happy for pets and attention, and then get scared and whack me. He never drew blood or hurt me- but he let me know he was done. He would also sometimes grab hold of my hand while I was petting him and act like he might hurt me, but I would just relax my hand and let him have it, so he knew I trusted him and that I wouldn’t hurt him- and he always gave my hand kisses then. But this is also why I don’t recommend him for a home with small children. He is scared, and children may not understand some of these behaviors. He no longer does that with us now that he trusts us- so it is possible that he may do better in the future with the right home. He is super athletic and long and lean. He climbs our 7 foot tall cabinet and sleep there, because he can. He loves to play with the other kitties and thrives with other friends. He is good with our big, old, chilled out dog. He has a silly personality, but above all else, is extremely loving. So much so that he even tolerates me picking him up and holding him and giving him hugs and kisses every morning. He used to get irritated and now he comes running for snuggles. This sweet boy just needs patience, understanding, and tons of love! He is an adventurer, so I think he would be great in an indoor/outdoor situation or even to teach to be a hiking buddy. He has good manners (litter box perfect). He started out being a counter surfer, but he is highly teachable and food/treat motivated. Now he knows the rules and behaves beautifully. He can be very dog-like in that he will run to great you when you come home from work. He is worth getting to know and teaching him trust- we adore him!" He is micro-chipped, current on vaccinations, and neutered.
