Rudy – Staffordshire Terrier mix – 1yr – male (51lbs) Say hello to our little man, Rudy! This adorable boy was dumped at a county shelter, along with three of his siblings after their owner went to jail.
Neighbors said that the four puppies lived outside all the time and got little if any attention from the owner.
While being dropped at a shelter seems like a bad thing, it was actually the best thing that could have happened to these pups – now they have a chance to find real homes with people that truly love them.
We already placed Rudy’s brother in a home so now it’s Rudy’s turn! We know that Rudy lived outside his whole life so he’s not yet housebroken, but in the short time that he’s been with us, he’s getting better and better in his kennel area.
He LOVES people attention and will snuggle with anyone who gives him the chance! We think he’s making up for lost time – he craves love.
He gives kisses freely and wants all the attention he can get.
Rudy loves people, men, women, and children equally – he just wants to be close.
Rudy is learning manners and some basic commands; he’s very smart and eager to learn so training should be fun.
He’s also very treat motivated and loves a good squeaky toy.
Because Rudy had never been outside of that backyard, he has discovered that he loves the outside world and enjoys venturing out into it! He loves his walks and is getting better every day on his leash.
He does spook a little at loud noises, but looks at his walker for assurance and then continues on his way.
Our sweet boy plays well with other dogs, but would be fine as an only dog also because he adores people so much.
Rudy is happy to go on a walk, but just as happy to have snuggle time with you on the sofa.
If Rudy sounds like he should be part of your family and you have time for a puppy and all that goes along with puppyhood, please complete our application to make our boy part of your family.
Please hurry, Rudy is waiting! /
