Meet Sadie
Sadie was placed directly in a foster to adopt home. She was extremely scared of just about everything. She was surrendered to a boardimg facility where she currently resides. Initially, She would air snap at other dogs that got close and run from humans and if cornered would scream out. A few weeks later and with a resident dog , it has worked like magic. She started to follow him and has gained some confidence. Sadie is looking for a dog savvy home without kids and another dog to play with. A secure yard is a must and have a confident social dog. She still needs to gain more confidence with people but that will come with time. She has already made such progress. With visible scars on her face and head she has faced a lot of trauma that only love and time will help this sweet girl.
She is getting a bit goofy now playing like a pup. She never did the butt up in the air or hiding on them the first 3 mths.
Sadie is a very intelligent dog. She does have a prey drive, like most dogs of her breed, but again, with an experienced adopter who will ensure that she’s walked on leash at all times, this won’t be an issue.
Sadie is a medium to high energy dog who enjoys long walks and hikes. We require an adult-only home with a fully fenced-in yard as she is considered a flight risk.
Sadie is housebroken, fully vaccinated and spayed.
Thank you for considering adoption.
