Meet Sandy, our shy and timid Labrador retriever mix. Sandy came from a hoarding situation so we aren't really sure what all she had to endure in her past, but it takes time for her to come around. She came to our house one night so that we could start fostering her and it's been a journey since then. For the first week she was scared and wanted to hide all day. Day in and day out we would try to talk to her and work with her on the leash and after that week she has finally gave in and there are no more scared barks at me or hiding under the bed. She greets me with tail wags and nudges - she's just thrilled to see me. She still gets scared when any sudden noises start happening so we feel she would be better in a calm household. Sandy is such a good girl and is house trained. She can walk on a leash with so much more confidence and is ready to find her forever home. If you think you have the time and patience Sandy needs please fill out an application and set up a meet and greet today!
