Meet Sarsaparilla (Sassy)
Sarsaparilla, or Sassy as we have started calling her, has been a little frightened at the shelter. She just really needs someone who can go a little slow and help her gain back her trust in humanity. Her pups thrived in foster care and have had several play dates with mama Sassy. She was down right mischievous when she played with those little chunks and it lifted her mood considerably. We are seeing more and more flashes of a sassy and playful pup in this adorable pit-weenie. She now shares play yard with a 70 # lab. She seems to gain confidence from walking with other outgoing, calm and friendly pups. On her way out the shelter door, she pauses by the other dog kennels to give her doggie pals a kiss and a tail wag. Our staff and volunteers are consistently giving her love and attention so she knows she deserves to have this in her life. To help her find her special forever human, her adoption fee has been covered by and anonymous donor.
