Female, 10 years old (estimated), 46 pounds Sweet Sasha has had a difficult past, but it's been a true joy watching her slowly but surely come out of her shell and recover.
This gentle and shy girl takes some time to warm up, but with some calm reassurance, you'll see her begin to open up.
This little lady is looking for a forever home where she can spend her years surrounded by love and support.
Sasha would do best in a quiet home, which likely means that young children will not be a good fit.
She does well with other calm dogs she meets while out and about and may thrive while living with such a 'furiend'.
We have not yet seen Sasha interact with kitties.
Sasha is on the road to recovery from surgeries to remove mammary masses and growing back fur that she lost during her time as a stray, and we're eager to share with you the tools for her continued success.
As she has started feeling better, she is becoming more vocal and has started nipping at strangers when they approach her, so she is looking for a home where she can continue working on meeting new people.
She is working with our trainer, but as she builds her new skills, she will need a home that can keep her and the others around her safe.
This persevering pup was found as a stray in Modesto and came to us from Stanislaus Animal Services so we could get her the medical care she needed.
