Meet Sassy

Sassy, 1.5 years old, spayed female, Carolina dog/Whippet mix, 65 pounds. She is located in HOUSTON, Texas and can transport out of State once an adopter is approved.

One of our foster mom's came across Sassy at her owner's house. They did not have the resources for her vetting, so our foster mom offered to help. Once her spay was set up, our foster mom learned they were going to keep her outside which we did not think was safe for her healing. The owner agreed to relinquish her and she has been in our rescue. She is fully vetted and in great health!

She really is not sassy as her name might imply. She is one of the sweetest and most affectionate dogs you will meet. We think she is a Carolina dog blend. This breed has a very mellow and calm temperament. She is a moderate energy dog who enjoys some exercise.

Sassy has been around several different dogs and does wonderful. She picks up on other dog's cues and is just happy to hang out. She has met kids as young as 8 years old and has done great!

She is house broken and does great when crated. She rides well in the car. She walks well on the leash, has some recall and is a super quick learner. She is gentle when taking treats. She has not shown any resource guarding.

We have no history cats.

We think she is really a lovely dog who will make a wonderful addition to any family!
