Meet Scarlett
Scarlet is a 3 yo girl, her owner got her as a puppy and she's been the best thing ever, sadly the owner has developed an allergy. Here’s what they say about Scarlet, “I took her to initial puppy training at Dog's Day in Vancouver, WA. She did great and has never freaked out on other dogs while she's on or off leash. We have twin 12 year old boys and a small cat (who we're sadly also rehoming due to my wife's recent breathing issues) that she gets along with fine. We have chickens, and she listens and leaves them be when we're with her, otherwise we just keep her on leash when we take her out. We haven't taken her to dog parks, but she goes to a local day care every other month or so and she loves it there and they love her. As I mentioned though, she is skittish with people she's not familiar with and takes a little warming up to strangers.
She loves to play fetch with a ball or stick and a tug is one of her favorites. She loves to get brushed and that's a quick way to her heart!
She had a weird issue with her nails about a year ago. Her feet were pretty sensitive when we trimmed her nails. Her quicks started to separate from the nails and were falling off! We took her to the vet where they did lots of tests and removed most of the nails. Since then, only 2 of the nails have been growing back, while the rest have remained essentially just the quick. The vet couldn't give us any answers and it doesn't seem to bother her at all, so we've just run with it. We have to muzzle her when cutting those nails, as it's a really touchy issue with her. She's really good about letting us dry her feet with a towel after coming in from outside, though. Scarlet has been spayed and is current on shots.
