Meet Scott

Scott, 1 years old, neutered male, Labrador Retriever mix, 62 pounds. He is in a foster home in Houston, TEXAS and can transport to an approved adopter. Please note, he is physically located in Texas.

It has taken some time for Scott to open up, but he shows us more of his silly personality each week! He is looking for a patient home who will allow him the time he needs to fully decompress. There is not a mean bone in this guy's body!

He shares a home with other dogs and really took a liking to another foster brother. He has not engaged in play with the other dogs and tends to keep to himself. We think the theme for Scott, is everything in time. He is not reactive in anyway to the other dogs.

He loves to run around the backyard and has this adorable puppy "hop" where he bounces all around. He is super fast and darts all over! You can really see his young dog energy when he's playing. He responds really well when his name is called or you whistle.

Scott also shares a home with an 11 year old child. He is still timid/shy and has not opened up to her too much yet. We recommend a home with kids 10 years and older. We have no history with cats.

Scott needs a home that will help build his confidence in terms of the bigger outside world. He walks fine on a leash, but freezes up when he gets into areas that he does not know. He is fully housebroken and does wonderful when crated. It is definitely his "safe" space.

Ideally, he will do great in a moderately active home. He loves to chase toys, but has not figured out how to bring them back haha. He LOVES to eat and loves to cuddle when he feels comfortable. Food is certainly the way to his heart. He is very sweet and looking for a home who will give him the time to shine!
