Introducing Scout! This smiley pup came to us as a stray from Hitchcock Road Animal services after being found in a field.
Scout quickly had his new foster family head over heels, where they deem him just about "perfect"! He's great on his walks and loves going for car rides all while being on best behavior.
Scout can be shy initially, and will require potential adopters to have patience with him but luckily he's quick to warm up! He's obsessed with squeaky toys (ESPECIALLY his lamb chop, or "lambie") and his chews, but is great at making sure he shares! Scout loves to be around his humans and it's essential he's always receiving belly rubs or head scratches.
Scout would love to find a home with another dog who shares a similar temperament as him, but this is not required.
It is unknown how he will do with cats (he is not reactive to squirrels/ other dogs at this time) but should be introduced to any animal in his new home slowly over time.
He would do just fine with a caring family who is home throughout the day to keep him company and provide continued positive socialization! Adult adopters or families with children over the age of ten would be best for Scout.
Scout is currently in foster care.
