HISTORY: Originally from Egypt, Rita lived with an older couple. Sadly, the father passed away. The mother could not live by herself so she went to live with her daughter. She couldn’t take Rita with her. Rita was going to be thrown out on the street. Having never lived on the harsh streets of Egypt, Rita would never have survived.

PERSONALITY: Rita is the gentlest and sweetest of Souls. This fun-loving character doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She is as innocent as she is beautiful.

A marquee for Cottonelle :), Rita has kitten energy. She loves, loves, loves to play. She plays with other cats, toys and humans with toys.

She trusts humans with her life. She likes to be picked up and doted on. This beauty knows she is a Princess and she knows she is stunning.

A girly girl, Rita will chat you up as she is sitting on your lap or beside you, keeping you company when you are on your laptop. She is your BFF.

She will cuddle up with you at night, too.

Calm and kind, Rita is great with other cats and children as long as they are kind, calm and respective of her (e.g. no pulling her tail or picking her up against her will).

As with any Persian, Rita needs to be brushed and have her eyes cleaned regularly. In the hot summer months, giving her a lion’s cut should also be considered.

IDEAL HOME ENVIRONMENT: Rita would do well in any loving and doting :) home, with or without another cat.
