Hi, I'm Shakira, a sweet pittie/staffy mix with a heart full of joy and so much love to give! I am 8-years-young and tipping the scales at a fit 48-pounds.
Kids?
I love them! From toddlers to teens, I'm a hit with my human foster siblings! Im always ready for a gentle play session or an afternoon spent cuddling on the couch.
I love to play chase in the backyard, though I'm occasionally up for a game of fetch with my beloved noisy, soft toys.
My personality?
Think of me as the life of the partyaffectionate, outgoing, and not one to shy away from a loving human embrace.
I'm especially drawn to men and have a soft spot for children, showing my need for affection without a hint of timidity.
What really gets my tail wagging?
Plush toys and soft blankets are my absolute favorites, and I've got a special buddy in the family's Bengal catwe're quite the dynamic duo.
Car rides are a breeze for me; I'm an eager co-pilot, ready to hop in and out with no hesitation and perfectly content to sit or explore the car as instructed.
Living in a bustling household with two big Lab brothers and a Sharpe companion, I've proven to be quite the social butterfly.
I get along well with everyone, finding my place amidst the canine camaraderie.
My nights are spent cozily in my crate among doggy friends in the living room, a testament to my adaptability and crate skills.
Baths are no big deal for me; I take them in stride, sitting patiently as I get scrubbed up.
My days are a blend of structure and freedom; while I do spend some time in my kennel, I'm also trusted to roam freely, a balance that suits my easy-going nature.
Crate time?
No fuss from me, I'm as quiet as can be, content in my own space.
When it comes to other dogs or new faces, I'm as cool as a cucumber, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and an eager-to-please demeanor.
And as for cuddles, well, let's just say I'm all in.
I cherish those moments of togetherness, always seeking out a warm lap or a cozy spot beside you.
My energy is well-maintained with 15-minute thrice-daily walks, keeping me spry and satisfied.
I'm just a happy-go-lucky gal, through and through, without a single fear or hesitation to hold me back.
So, if you're looking for a loyal, loving, and lively companion to share in life's big and small moments, I'm your girl.
Let's embark on this journey together, with plenty of play, cuddles, and unconditional love along the way.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?
The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation.
Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone.
Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference.
Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space.
This dog youve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption.
We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive.
From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dogs needs.
We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs.
There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification.
This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families.
We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan Coupons for a fun visit to Petco Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot.
Together, we can be heroes.
