HISTORY: Skye was found outside a pet shop in a busy area of Cairo. People abandon their pets in front of pet shops in the hope that they will be fed or rescued. As there are no laws in Egypt to protect animals, people are not held accountable, so it is done all the time.

Skye is as gentle as they come. This beauty is not a fighter. She had no idea how to defend herself. She was frightened of the other animals as well as the loud noises and hustle and bustle of the busy area where she was dumped. As a result, she was very thin and weak by the time she was rescued.

PERSONALITY: When she first arrived at her foster, she was understandably nervous and confused. After having been abandoned, this highly sensitive and intelligent girl was uncertain about people. With a little encouragement from her foster, Skye is now putting her past behind her. She is trusting people again and has become more and more comfortable and responsive, She now likes being petted and doted on. She actually looks forward to it. She even comes up to her foster looking for pets now. She really wants to trust again. She wants to be around her human and hang out with you. Though she is not ready to be a lap cat yet, she is on her way.

Skye also enjoys looking out the window and getting lost in watching the birds and squirrels so a cat’s eye view of nature would be most welcome for this lovely lass.

The most beautiful Spirit, Skye does not have a mean bone in her body. All she needs now is to feel safe with someone who will give her the time and patience she needs to fully blossom into the loving, sweet and gentle Soul that she is. A person who appreciates the gift of that special bond that is created when a relationship is built on trust. There is no greater reward.
