Meet Smee
Everybody look at me, says Smee! This gorgeous tri-colored two year old female is seeking her forever home after being rescued from a cockfighting ring in April 2023. It's clear these circumstances have made her weary of new people and things, but her foster family has helped tremendously in alleviating these fears. She is learning to socialize properly with humans and when introduced properly, is an absolute doll. Understandably so, Smee wants to be with her humans all the time and gets anxious when left alone too long. Her new family would need to be patient as she adapts to her new world.
Though still timid with new human friends, Smee adores doggie friends and plays nicely with the resident dogs at her foster home. In fact, she can often be seen pouncing around in a circle in an attempt to initiate play! Smee weighs about 85 pounds, has solid house manners, rides well in the car, and sleeps soundly in her crate at night. Though still working through some food insecurities, Smee is beginning to understand that humans give her all the resources she needs. If you’d like to be the happy ending to Smee’s rescue journey, please consider an adoption application!
All dogs and puppies require VISIBLE fencing.
Adoption fee: $325 (Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm test, rabies, distemper, parvo and health certificate for travel). Adopters located outside of Texas pay the cost of transport to an independent transport service ($250).
