Hi, I’m Smiley! I was brought to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me.

I am around 1 ½ years old, about 40 lbs., strongly resemble a small hippo, and have the absolute sweetest face.

When I got to the shelter, it took me a while to warm up to new people.

Once I felt comfortable and safe in my environment, I remembered I love people so I greet them with my stubby little legs and tippy tappy toes.

I wasn’t used to walks or leashes when I first got to the shelter, but now I love them and am learning my leash manners fast! Staff thinks I haven’t met many nice dogs so would require slow, steady introductions with new dogs in my life and am likely dog selective.

I have shown little interest in the cats at the shelter, but would do best with a dog savvy cat as I do like to play and chase.

I have been spayed, am up to date on my rabies, DAPP vaccines, and have been micro-chipped too.

My adoption fee is $150 (+ $20 county dog license, if residing within Jefferson County).
