Meet Smitty H.

I'm super-shy Smitty H. Been that way all my life! Born in a litter of outgoing kids just "glad to be here": but it seemed pretty scary to me and still does! I've done ok with the nice foster moms who raised us and made sure I had my share of attention, food and love. But I'm mostly a watcher. I like to take things slow, think it through and then decide whether I'm going to let you close to me. So if you're a busy, noisy household wanting a close cuddle bug kitten, well, that's Definitely Not Me! And, full disclosure, I still protect myself with my claws! So please give me space!

I'd be fine in a quiet, cat-experienced home where folks have patience and give kitties time to figure things out. With that, and if you're ok with my hiding sometimes, I'll get it figured out. But guys like me - well, you just can't rush us! I love playing quietly with cool toys, and my favorite toy is a Great Box! The kind that doubles as a hideout. On the plus side, I'm handsome quiet, and eventually will find my way quietly into your life and heart! If this appeals, we should definitely have a quiet chat and maybe give it a try!

A very shy boy who will need a patient loving household and time to develop his comfort level and confidence before sharing his love. Does not like to be picked up or held tightly. Not a good cat for young children; children should be older, and cat-savvy. Must gain acceptance at his own pace.
