Meet Solar
Meet Solar, an approximately 1.5-year-old female Terrier Mix.
Solar arrived at our shelter along with 5 other dogs that were abandoned at the local dog park overnight. Solar is taking a little longer to trust the staff here at the shelter, however she has made a lot of progress in the short amount of time she has been here. She is scheduled to be spayed on 8/15 and will be ready to go to her forever home soon after. We believe Solar is potty trained as she keeps a very clean kennel. Solar appears to know some basic commands and walks well the leash! We always recommend testing all our dogs with any other potential family members prior to adoption to ensure the best outcome for all!
Come meet Solar today, she is currently available for adoption at the Ellensburg Shelter!
A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is lifesaving. Adopt Don't Shop.
