Meet Spaulding
Meet Spaulding. He's 6 years old. This guy came in as a neglect situation a while back. He was adopted, but it's not working out with their other cats. He will need to be an only cat. That said, he is amazing with people. Just wants to be held. At animal control, he'd launch himself into your arms when opening his kennel. He's a sphinx-type cat and should go to a breed experienced or breed-educated adopter.
From his foster: Spaulding is a sweet little gargoyle (like the nice ones in the hunchback cartoon movie) His goal is to be as close to you as possible 24/7.
He is friendly with the low key dog in his foster home and looks for love licks from him when given the chance. He likes cozy beds and soft sweaters. He will sleep under the blankets with you all night. (Sleeping in bed allowance is a must)
He loves his food and eats frequently. He has a loud raspy meow and will tell you when food or water is low as well as if you are not petting him enough.
He has some bad habits like counter and sink surfing and will flick his litter across the room so an enclosed litterbox is recommended.
He had a biopsy done on his skin bumps and results determined that he has follicle cysts from poor care. They do not cause him any pain. Removal of all of these cysts would prove to be a large procedure and really not necessary. Going forward he will need a weekly bath to keep his skin healthy. A loving low key household is a must. This needs to be his happily ever after home. No more bouncing around and lack of care. He needs a lifetime commitment to his care.
