Meet this sweet lil pup, Star!

Sweet little Star came to Battersea due to a change in his owners circumstances and through no fault of his own.

He generally has a lovely history in his previous home and was described as an excitable young puppy. As a typical puppy, he did demonstrate some mouthing behaviours in his previous home. His previous owners also stated that Star would have some sensitivities around new people entering the home. At times, he would growl from the sofa when they first came in, but would warm up quickly and would be friendly and excitable boy.

Since coming into Battersea, we have seen the same excitable, vibrant puppy as stated in his history. He has been very excitable and bouncy with everyone he has met and we have not seen any stranger reactions during his stay. He has been quite a vocal boy when it comes to meeting other dogs, but is generally a very friendly and playful boy. He is still very juvenile in his play and will need new owners who are confident to keep him regularly socialised with a range of different dogs.

Star is a lovely young lad with a lot of love to give. In the right home, with some guidance and training he is sure to grow into a well-rounded adult. His previous owners stated he was a Lurcher crossed with a Doberman so new owners would largely benefit from experience with one of these breeds and all the typical traits that come with owning one. We would highly recommended new owners undertake training classes with Star to best set him up for success
