Meet our gorgeous Stella!
Stella found herself in a NC shelter after Animal Control was called out for a welfare check and found them outside with no water. They made multiple attempts to solve the problem with the owners unsuccessfully so she was confiscated. And thank goodness, because this sweet, soft girl deserves the absolute best.
The shelter was full, so we transferred Stella into our program. Stella is 3-4 years old and is truly as sweet as she can be. She's looking for a family who can give her lots and lots of love and attention. Stella would like a home with humans who will allow her to snuggle and give her daily walks. She would be fine as an only dog or with another dog who isn't too assertive. Stella likes to play with the other dogs but also enjoys some downtime. She is house and crate trained. When she first goes into her crate she will sing for a little while. She has a loud voice when she's telling us about her displeasure. She's not destructive so would likely also do fine if left outside the crate.
Stella likes to follow her humans around and wants to be near to you. She's a great work from home companion. She's good with kids too, but her personality matches a low key household so calmer children would be best. She has exhibited the classic Husky prey drive so no small animals. Stella has no body handling or resource issues. She wants all the pets and love you can give and she likes car rides! This sweet, soft girl needs a GREAT home.
Stella had some post whelping skin issues when she arrived. Those are resolving nicely and her coat is simply gorgeous! She's a beautiful open masked red & white and she has two parti-eyes! She is spayed, current on her vaccines and heartworm negative. Stella is being fostered in MD. Anyone wishing to adopt Stella should be willing to meet here at our MD rescue center.
~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it's like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you're interested in. If you're still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply
