Stew

Due to border patrol restrictions, you'll be required to cross the border and meet in Blaine, WA to receive your pup :) Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio.

Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Stew! Stew is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.

Meet Stew! Stew was found as a stray with his brother Doug.

It was a rainy day in Houston and they were huddling under a parked car to stay dry.

A good Samaritan took both of them in and reached out to us and we gladly accepted them into our rescue.

Stew is a 1 year old, male Australian cattle dog mix.

Stew currently weighs about 45 pounds and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and ready to find a family to call his own! Stew is very dog friendly.

His energy level is of a puppy- very active and loves to play.

He plays very well with my lab and pitbull- even naps with them.

When on a leash seeing other dogs, he just wants to meet everyone and say hi! Stew has not been exposed to cats, so we're not sure how he'll react to them.

Stew is very kid friendly.

He plays with my 9 year old niece very well! He will nibble on her time to time (very puppy like and playful in nature) it's never bothered her.

He loves being around people and getting pets! Stew walks great on a leash! He will stay calmly with me and I don't have any issues with him on the leash.

Stew is fully potty trained! He makes sure to do his business outside.

Stew is also crate trained! He stays in his crate while we're away from the home for work and errands.

We usually leave him with a chew toy or bone to keep him occupied.

I'll frequently check in on him from our camera and he's just sleeping in his crate or playing with his toys.

We would say that Stew had a moderate energy level.

He loves playing with my dogs and running around in the yard, but is also very calm when we're inside.

Stew is still on the younger side, so he does have some energy.

He loves to go on walks and loves car rides! He loves all the snuggles and belly rubs we give him.

When it's time to nap or go to sleep at night, he is great in his kennel.

He snores and it's the cutest thing! He really is a good boy! He's super friendly when meeting strangers! He just wants to be everyone's friend (more friends = more belly rubs).

He is very trusting to humans, we could tell when we walked right up to him on the street and he let us take him.

He is very loving and just wants to get pets and loved on anytime he can.

He really is a sweet boy! From his snoring, to his kisses- anyone would be lucky to have him in their family.
