Meet Stormy
Stormy is doing great in her wonderful foster home. She is sharing her foster home with multiple other animals including dogs and cats and is excellent with all of them. She is interested in the cat but respectful.
Stormy is around 4.5 months (as of the end of January) and is going to be a large dog once fully grown. She is a fantastic cuddler and loves to lie beside her foster family on the couch. She adores people and being close to them. She is great with meeting new people and dogs. She also lives with an older, respectful child and is perfect with him.
Stormy loves playing and wrestling with other dogs. She also likes chewing tennis balls and antlers. She is working on house training (maybe one accident per day) and is completely crate trained and sleeps in the crate quietly overnight and the occasional daytime nap.
She is doing great on the leash and likes meeting everyone while out and about. She sometimes gets startled by loud noises but this is typical of puppies.
Stormy tolerates baths, ear cleanings and nail trims and thinks brushing means playtime.
Stormy’s adopters must be prepared to keep her busy with lots of daily exercise, play time, training and most importantly snuggles. She will need multiple walks and stimulation throughout the day to keep her physically and mentally happy. Another nice, friendly dog would be great or she would also be good as the only dog in a home.
Her adopter must be prepared to continue with positive based training and socialization. Puppies thrive in homes that can provide good routines, structure, patience and lots of love. They need lots of guidance and supervision. She loves to play outdoors, so a house with a safely fenced back yard is recommended. She would fit best into an active home with adults, dog-savvy children and/or other friendly animals. She will make a wonderful companion for anyone.
