Meet Suzy
If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application. This is the fastest way to meeting your new pet.
Suzy Q is an active and sweet girl. She is a little standoffish at first and is working on the "come" command, but I know that will come with trust and time and she does walk good on a leash. Suzy and her daughter were dumped way out in a rural area in Texas and had been on their own for a while. I gave her the name Suzy Q because of her curly tail. it gives her personality. Suzy is ok around my cats but, sometimes is a little too curious and I would not leave her alone in the house with them just to be safe. She sleeps in her crate at night, and she is good in my 10x10x10 kennel outside. I have been throwing a piece of Pepperoni in the crate to train her to go in as well as in the outside kennel and she is learning fast.
She has free run of the yard when I'm here but because she is my foster and has only been with me since 9-22-22 I crate her when I'm gone. When I took her to the Vet for her shots she did really well and didn't even react when Vet Tech gave her the vaccinations. She also did well around all the other dogs waiting for their turn too. Suzy does like sleeping up on the bed after my husband leaves for work (we get up at 4:30am) and she will make herself comfortable on the sofa too if allowed. She likes to play fetch but, needs to work on returning it and thinks it's a game of chase if you try to get it. Suzy "Sue" has really been a good girl in the short time we've been together, and I know when she finds her forever family, she will be a wonderful companion and devoted member of your family. Please feel free to contact me for more information. Suzy was born in September 2021 and is approximately 40 pounds.
