Syma is a 9.5 year young strikingly handsome boy who was left behind at a hunting ranch when it was sold.
The new owner reached out to rescue and this boy is lucky enough to be fostered by very experienced people in New Mexico.
In addition to the couple and their adult son, he also lives with four other dogs, both male and female and gets along with everyone; he even gets along with small dogs.
Cats are an unknown as there are no cats in his current foster home.
Syma has won the hearts of the humans in the home and thinks he is a lap dog.
He is very confident when out and about as his mom works at a vet clinic and he has gone to work with her on several occasions.
He greets strangers and dogs enthusiastically and he acclimated quickly to his new home.
Foster mom says he is very birdy and needs to be supervised when outside.
He needs at least a 5?
fenced yard to be safe.
Syma’s recall is uncertain, but he does come when called from the yard; usually he is following the other dogs inside the house.
He is a very sensitive dog and his foster mom says he would not be a candidate for an “E” collar.
He is working on leash training and currently uses a harness.
He does need daily walks, but he is not a candidate for an apartment.
He is a very quick learner and wants to please; he is also treat motivated.
Syma is neutered, fully vaccinated and crate trained; he enjoys a Kong or Nylabone to chew on while crated.
Syma is a dream dog and only barks when he needs to go out.
Would you like to open your heart and home to this special boy who lived most of his life as an outside ranch dog and is now enjoying the well deserved life of a rescue dog in a wonderful home?
