Meet Teddy
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. When Teddy arrived at the shelter, he was the size of a small kitten and very sick. We soon realized that this poor boy was actually an adult who was struggling to survive. We gave him good nutrition and began to treat his upper respiratory infection. He was already a nervous boy upon arrival and after battling continued colds and receiving meds, he is quite distrusting of us. He knows that humans bring him food, water, toys and beds but is always worried he's going to get another dose. We totally understand why this guy feels this way. We're hoping for a safe, outdoor home or a patient indoor home where he can finally relax. This gorgeous guy deserves a chance! All PAWS cats and dogs are current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm disease. Cats/kittens are tested (and are negative) for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
