Uno Meet Uno, an adorable 15-month-old female yellow Labrador Retriever looking for her loving forever home.
She was raised within our service dog training program and has learned some basic skills such as sit, down, come, here (hand target), let’s go, free, and kennel.
She is crate-trained and travels well.
She is unable to remain in the program due to allergies that lead to ear infections and paw licking.
She’ll likely require ongoing meds.
She needs a family that will work closely with a vet to try to determine the exact cause of the allergies and keep her on the best course of treatment for her needs.
Uno is described as sweet, happy, affectionate, cuddly, comical, energetic, and wiggly.
She likes to be near her people.
She is easy to have around the home (although she has been known to steal a sock from the laundry) and is content to lie on your feet while you’re relaxing.
She’s been called an excellent “smooshy foot warmer.” Uno has displayed some signs of stress when walking in busy environments.
Rural/small-town living is probably more her speed.
We’d recommend that any children in the home be aged 11 or up.
Uno loves walks and is still working on her walking skills some.
She does like to pull ahead sometimes and can get a bit sniffy or distracted by other dogs.
She’s a good-sized and strong dog and will require a physically capable handler.
She enjoys playing with other dogs and wouldn’t mind an appropriate sibling dog in the home or having regular play dates with dogs she’s been allowed to get to know.
She’d love to have her own fenced yard for those play times and to interact with her people.
Uno would love an active family but a calm home environment.
A home where her people are around much of the time.
She would love to be your walking, hiking, beach strolling buddy by day and your foot warmer in the evening.
Uno’s adoption fee is $1,500.
