Funny Valentine, you make me smile with all my heart! Meet Valentine! Valentine is in a foster home in Spokane WA and can be transported to your area.
(See information below in the “Adoption Donation” section.) Valentine has packed a lot into a little more than a year life.
She had a litter of nine puppies (the Valentines Day litter), was saved from euthanasia in a Texas shelter, and journeyed to Washington to begin a new life.
A busy and loving mama to her puppies, she has seen them out of the nest and is ready to indulge in a little self-care and me time.
Valentine is a labrador retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix.
Catahoulas are known for their energy and playfulness, and Valentine has both.
She loves to leap from across the room, landing in a “let’s play” position in front of the resident dog.
Valentine is enjoying the chance to be the young dog that she is; she can be silly and has a fondness for running around outside.
She made friends with her foster’s cat (she’s not deterred by its grumpy personality) and met children of all ages.
Valentine would thrive in an active home with dogs, cats, and kids as companions.
Sweet and affectionate, Valentine enjoys comfortable spaces to nap and cuddling with her people.
She loves sleeping on a couch and will steal any pillow for herself should an opportunity arise.
She feels secure in her crate and can amuse herself quietly for hours (like any new mom, she enjoys her down time!).
Valentine has a consistent potty schedule with no accidents and sleeps through the night.
Funny Valentine is starting a new phase of her life, and she seeks someone to share in her adventure.
Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, Valentine is stretching her wings and pivoting from protective, alert-mom mode to trusting pup willing to let someone take care of her.
If the thought of sharing that journey with her makes you smile, maybe this Valentine is the one for you! Want to meet Valentine?
