Venus
My foster writes:
Adopt Venus! Venus is a sweet, cuddly, energetic girl who is looking for her forever home. She loves running around the dog park with her friends and playing fetch, playing around the apartment with her foster brother, and snuggling with her foster parents on the couch watching TV. In the short time we've had Venus, she's become famous around our neighborhood for walking around the park with her beloved tennis ball in her mouth, saying hi to all the dogs that pass by. This loyal and happy pup has so much love (and many kisses) to give, and is looking for a forever family. Consider adopting Venus!
Venus will need slow intros with younger children but foster reports she is wonderful with them!
Level 2 Behavior Rating: Summary: This dog may have some low-intensity behavior challenges or mild triggers, but is suitable for most adopters with some dog experience.
What my friends say about me:
I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.
I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.
I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!
A Volunteer Wrote: Come meet Venus on your worst day, absolutely determined to keep that front on your face. We will give you 30 seconds before you burst into laughter at this girl's antics. Balls! Squeaky toys! So much air to throw them into, so far to chase them, back and forth and up and down she goes with a joy that is contagious. And then, when she is done, when she's gotten her snuggles and knows you're laughing, she will throw herself onto her back and wiggle around with more delight. Standing, sitting, or lying down, Venus is joy in motion. She's such a good girl about climbing back into her kennel, especially since she knows how much happiness awaits outside of it. Please, come meet Venus and make your love match! A life of laughter awaits you both!

My Boroughbreaker writes:
Venus is a happy girl who had boundless energy. She had to be reminded to take breaks but she settled down and rolled in the grass. She loves to walk and take in all the sights and sounds of the park, but she is not a big sniffer and is not distracted by squirrels or birds or other dogs. She is curious but not reactive to other people. She enjoyed receiving the many compliments that were given to her on our walk without crossing boundaries. Venus liked treats and can sometimes even catch them mid-air. She has good manners and knows some commands. She probably would do well with someone who enjoys long walks.
