Meet Waylon (Axel)

Howdy, you can call me Waylon or Axel. Whichever you prefer! I am a big boy - a Lab & Great Dane mix to be exact.

I am very intelligent and love all things agility. I also enjoy car rides, walks, and playing with my toys. I am a big puppy at heart but do know commands like "sit," "come," "down," and "off" for furniture.

I would do well with training, structure, and a daily routine. My previous owner says I do not like being home alone, so will need someone who is patient and will take the steps necessary to help me stay calm when I find myself alone in the home.

There are ways to help me feel better about being alone, like a daily routine and doing particular things (set up a special space for me where I can go lay, activities to distract, etc.) each time right before you leave. This will cue me in that I am about to be alone. It's good to have some notice on these things! Our adoption counselors can tell you more ways to help assist.

I also should be in an adult-only home and will need a meet and greet with any potential fur friends. I have lived with one cat previously and my previous owner says I was easygoing, friendly, and playful with them. Just not when are around my food! So that will need to be kept away from any kitties or other fur friends.
