Meet Wonka

Hi!!! I’m Wonka Wonka! I’m an Aussie shepherd mix of about 8 years old - but could be a bit older. Vets can’t nail my age down to much.

My foster dad drove a long distance to save me from certain death at a kill shelter in my last hours of life! I’m a happy older dog, and I’ve got tons of Love AND Life left to give to my new family!!!

I’m 45 pounds or so and will eat any food, I’m not picky.

I’m exceptionally well potty trained and house broken. I’ll bark and let you know if I gotta go potty outside!
And I absolutely love any affection I can get!!! I respond to pats/rubs with licks and kisses. I’m happy on a dog bed and seem to be trained not to be on furniture.

I can be a little dog selective, as my vision is slowly fading. As of now, I’m probably blind in my right eye and have 1/2 vision in the left. That’s what the vet said. So I don’t like meeting new dogs too much, but with slow acclimation, I get along with my 5 other fosters just fine. I see best in high light conditions, and in low light, I’m basically blind. But I get around just fine!! And my foster dad has another cattle dog who has been 100% blind for years and Dundee, my housemate, does fine and is loved!

I get along fantastic with people and kids older than 8 years old who understand dogs. I just crave attention and affection!!

I’m fully vaccinated, chipped, neutered, and heart worm negative and on heart guard prevention. I was obviously someone’s pet before the terrible shelter event.

So I’m a big wooly bear aussie shepherd in need of a permanent home so dad can save more heelers. I’ve got lots of love, extremely loyal and well behaved - Loving and ready for the right home! I’m not a barker and pretty quiet! And thunder or fireworks don’t bother me much at all.
