Meet Yogi

Yogi has the all clear!!

We are extremely excited to tell you that our cute little Yogi as the all clear and is ready for adoption! He will however be in need of a home that is prepared to handle his ongoing care due to the damaged esophagus, which will include a strictly soft food diet and possible medical follow-ups down the road.

Here is what his foster mom has to say your this handsome little fellow.

Yogi is looking for a cuddle buddy. He loves being on your lap more than anything. He'd be a great pup for someone with a low energy lifestyle who is home a lot. He has old man energy, but still loves going for walks and meeting new people. He isn't aggressive with any types of animals, he likes other dogs and ignores kitties. He will push my cats out of anyone's lap for attention though, so be prepared for a little man who wants all of your love. He has been doing good on the liquid diet, eating well as long as he gets some variety of foods. He clearly has a taste for human food, and will try to get anything he can reach (including the garbage). He has had trouble anytime I've tried to make his food slurry thicker. The doctors say he likely has strictures due to the trauma of his esophagus and will need to stay on liquid food for the rest of this life. Other than that he is truly a young healthy dog. You'd never know He's survived what he has. He's an amazingly tough little man, who is just wants to love and be loved.
