Meet Zahra
Zahra is a seven-year-old purebred Bengal cat who has lived with a companion kitty (Simba) for six years.
Zahra is loving, gentle, and affectionate.
Despite the fact that Zahra and Simba are "roommates" - they don't seem to have a dependency on each other. Usually we would not separate a bonded pair but the owner tells us that they could care less about each other. They are polite with each other but they are not bonded. We have observed this first-hand.
Their owner is heartbroken that she is having to move to a home that doesn't allow pets so she reached out to us for help. She will be moving soon and doesn't want to take them to a shelter.
Let us tell you more about Zahra.
Zahra is a light-brown rosetted Bengal. She is seven-year-old, spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and weighs approximately 10 pounds. The owner got her from a breeder as a kitten.
Zahra eats Blue Wilderness High Protein or Purina One food. She may have a slight heart murmur.
The owner regrets that she allowed Zahra and Simba outdoor access, and unfortunately they have become accustomed to it. We do believe she could become strictly indoors if he is placed in a stress-free home, free of the triggers that they are currently dealing with.
Simba will play with Zahra when he wants but will also ignore her at times too. Like siblings there can be little spats between them. Never anything serious. They do live with a small dog but the dog does not respect their boundaries. Zahra might do OK with a cat-friendly, easygoing dog. They have not been around children so we would imagine kids older than 10 would be OK.
Zahra can be vocal and talkative especially when she is hungry and wants to go outside. She loves playing with wand toys and a laser toy.
Zahra is healthy, up-to-date on vaccinations, has been spayed and is microchipped.
