Meet Zena
If you have additional questions please email [email protected] name is Zena. They say I'm just a baby. But I've been through a lot in my 5 months of life. I had a family but they decided they didn't want me anymore. They took me to the shelter. I heard them tell my hooman they were really full. They said they didn't have any kennel space and that if I was left there, I was going to be euthanized. I didn't know what that meant, but I knew it couldn't be good. The shelter was loud and scary. My hooman said he didn't care and left me there anyway.
But there was a nice lady from H-E-A-R-T who just happened to be at the shelter. As much as she wanted to punch my hooman for leaving me behind, she scooped me up and got me out of that loud place. I was so glad! She said she's going to foster me until we find me a new home. I don't know what that means but I really like hanging out at her house. I hope my new family has a lot of the things my foster home does: canine friends to play with, a fenced yard and a couch to snuggle on!
My foster Mom says I am such a good girl in my crate and that crate and potty training are going well. She feeds me in my crate because I get a little worried the other dogs might try to take my food. I am a growing girl after all. Speaking of growing, I have a lot of puppy energy and need lots of exercise. My favorite past time is playing in the water. I'd like a kiddie pool and play with the hose. It's really funny when I blow bubbles in the water bowl. It makes the hoomans laugh. I also really like to share my feelings with you. I have a lot to say!
I'm a southern belle and am temporarily living in Georgia. But my friends at H-E-A-R-T say they'll get me wherever I need to go if we can find the right family for me! I am just a baby, but just like the angel on my mask, I promise I'll be one for you if you let me!
Zena is spayed, current on her vaccines and heartworm negative. Her adoption area is CT, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA, NC, SC & GA. ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it's like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you're interested in. If you're still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply
